Instructor: Shelly Banks
Fee includes supplies.
Have you thought about trying oil painting but feel it’s too intimidating? Or, perhaps you received a gift of oils and wonder what to do with them.
Oil paint doesn’t have to be intimidating! It needn’t be mysterious!
In this one-evening class Shelly will guide you through the types of oil paints, the types of brushes to use, and kinds of mediums to add to your oils. She will show you how to clean up when working with oils.
The range of luminosity and impact of oils will soon have you just itching to get started working with this medium.
This is not an actual painting class but demo’s will be given and a great information session.
About the Instructor: Shelly is an award-winning coloured-pencil artist who also enjoys bookbinding and indigo dyeing. Her current passion is oil painting, but she paints in watercolour and acrylic, too.
Please bring your questions. If you have oils, brushes, or other supplies about which you are curious bring them along and Shelly will offer you information and advice.
