Acrylic: Celebrate the Rockies!

Saturday & Sunday, February 22 & 23    10:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day

Instructor: Kristine McGuinty

Look at this familiar, well-loved landscape – the towering Rockies, the lake, trees, and sky – so familiar to Albertans, and so cherished amongst us. Come celebrate our Canadian Rockies and create a contemporary landscape painting. Bring your love of the land to this weekend class, and take home a beautiful painting!

You will learn the properties of acrylic painting. Glazing techniques, blocking in, and gradations will all be discussed and employed. We will use highlights and contrasts to paint the lights and shadows that bring your mountain scene to life.

About the Instructor:  Kristine is a full-time professional artist from St. Albert. She studied fine arts at Grande Prairie Regional College and has taught numerous workshops to adults and children. Kristine is represented by Lando Gallery in Edmonton and Gallery 421 in Kelowna.
