Art Class for Teachers balances teaching you tips, tricks, techniques, and resources to bring back to your classroom and share with your students, with time devoted to developing your own creative practice.
Discover the endless possibilities of the art materials you already have on hand, experiment with new ones, and refill your bucket with some much-needed you-time. That means not only will you make your own art projects, you will also leave with the inspiration and resources you need to help you plan and execute successful, skill-based art lessons with your students.
All levels welcome with no expectation of previous knowledge or skill.

About the Instructor: Emma’s love of art has taken her all over the world, culminating in a one-year residency in Paris, where she spent her days in museums and her nights eating French pastries. She is the founder and lead educator of ArtVentures, holds a Bachelor of Arts with Combined Honours in English and the History of Art, Design, and Visual Culture from the University of Alberta, and is passionately curious. Before founding ArtVentures, Emma’s years of experience at the Art Gallery of Alberta have provided her with countless opportunities to work with thousands of students in both gallery and studio settings.
