If you want to learn to create aerosol art, beginning with letter design, and wonder how to begin, this is the class for you! This class will cover the basics of aersol painting and letter design as well as aerosol safety & working properties. First, students will begin by learning the fundamentals of can control by painting basic letters shapes, lines, and gradients. Experiment with a variety of caps for different effects. Next, you will move on the sketch out your design for a word, a name, or nickname. Now, the exciting part – bringing your design to life on canvas using your new aerosol skills! The brilliant thing about aerosol is that you can use the same canvas over and over to experiment with lettering. You will take home a completed canvas and lots of inspiration to carry on painting.
About the Instructor: Colleen Ulliac lives and works in Edmonton, where she studied art at Grant MacEwan University. She has led many classes, workshops, and art sessions for many organizations, including several dedicated to youth. She continues to maintain an individual and collaborative practice, which includes public murals.
