Botanical Illustrations with Watercolour

Saturday, July 27, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM

Instructors: Shelly Banks & Francis Marte

Recommended for Beginners

In this 2-part class Shelly and Francis are teaming up to bring you a fun-filled day. First, Shelly teaches you how to draw simple, whimsical botanicals in pen, then Francis will teach you how to paint in the petals and leaves with watercolour. Your subjects will be gerbera daisies, tropical leaves, and hydrangeas.

You will be so pleased with the eye-catching, lively botanicals that you create, even if you are a beginner! What great ideas for handmade gifts, cards, or small framed decorative additions to your home.

About the Instructors:  Francis Marte is a professional watercolourist specializing in realistic landscape, cityscape, still life, figurative, and portrait paintings. From an early age Francis has always had a meticulous fascination for images, how the world is represented in the eyes of others, and what makes beautiful scenes and objects eye-catching. Shelly Banks is an award-winning coloured-pencil artist who also enjoys indigo dyeing among other creative fabric arts, as well as bookbinding, drawing, oil painting, watercolour – and more! Both instructors receive outstanding reviews from their students.
