Charcoal Portrait Drawing Accuracy & Texture

Saturday, September 28    12:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Instructor: Daphne Cote

This one-day class will focus on creating likeness by focusing on accuracy in proportions. Bring your own photos to work from or have professional artist Daphne Côté provide them. After achieving accuracy in anatomy and structure we will dive into creating interesting textures that help create depth and realism with this wonderfully diverse medium.

About the Instructor:  Daphne Côté has been instructing art classes since 2004. She was drawn to the study of visual arts, and has been painting since she was a small kid. She has been showing and selling her work for more than 18 years. The human figure is the main subject of her work, although she also dabbles in landscape and still life. Daphne likes to dig out the beauty, purpose, and essence in everything she sees. ‘Light in Life, both in people and our surroundings, inspire me.’ — Daphne. See Daphne’s work at
