Saturday & Sunday, October 26 & 27 Sat: 12:30 PM - 6:30 PM; Sun: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Daphne Cote
Open to watercolour, acrylic, oil, gouache, and even digital painting. Students must have taken at least one relevant art class or have experience in your chosen medium before attending this 2-day class.
In this weekend class we will focus on anatomy, skin tones, composition, and creating depth of form. Bring your own photo reference material to work from that inspires you or have Daphne provide you with references. This course is intended to further your knowledge of figure/portraiture in a way that inspires and gives you confidence and the tools you need to guide you in your own creative practices.
About the Instructor: Daphne Côté has been instructing art classes since 2004. She was drawn to the study of visual arts, and has been painting since she was a small kid. She has been showing and selling her work for more than 18 years. The human figure is the main subject of her work, although she also dabbles in landscape and still life. Daphne likes to dig out the beauty, purpose, and essence in everything she sees. ‘Light in Life, both in people and our surroundings, inspire me.’ — Daphne.
