Instructor: Sally Towers Sybblis
Join published author, artist, and calligrapher Sally Towers-Sybblis for an afternoon of watercolour delight. Sally will show you how to make three simple watercolour cards. These cards are easy to create and can be used for a variety of occasions, including Mother’s Day. If you haven’t had much experience with watercolor before, this class is for you!
About the Instructor: Sally Towers-Sybblis is a full-time artist and calligrapher from Red Deer, Alberta. In her classes students are challenged to find their own inner artist by unleashing their innate capacity to create. Her teaching style is one that inspires and evokes joy through the process of creating. Her journey to become an artist began at Grant MacEwan University where she studied Fibre Arts and Visual Communications. Sally has taught extensively throughout Alberta, including venues such as the Red Deer College Summer Series, and the north and south teachers’ conferences.

Watercolours: Ultramarine Blue Phthalo Blue Primary Yellow Rose (or similar colours)
Paper: 1 sheet 140lb Cold Press Watercolour paper, e.g. Strathmore 300, cut to 5x7” pieces plus 2 sheets of computer paper
Other supplies: #8 or #10 Round watercolour brush Black 01 Micron Pigma Pen Ultra-Fine Black Sharpie Watercolour palette Pencil Eraser Sharpener Ruler Scissors Large Uhu glue stick or double-sided tape
Please bring art clothes, hand-/tea towel, rag, notebook, snack & drink.
