About the Class: A weekend retreat enables you to concentrate on learning, with the assistance of a great teacher. This class is for the newbie who really wants to get into drawing. Learn to look – learn to draw! We will learn different techniques and drawing methods with a main focus on how to see things in order to draw them realistically. We will cover different types of line drawing to shading. One goal of this class is to assist you to develop confidence in your capabilities, so you can take a sketchbook and pencil anywhere and start drawing things that interest you and that inspire you in life.
About the Instructor: Daphne Côté has been instructing art classes since 2004. She was drawn to the study of visual arts, and has been painting, since she was a small kid. She has been showing and selling her work for more than 18 years. The human figure is the main subject of her work, although she also dabbles in landscape and still life. Daphne likes to dig out the beauty, purpose, and essence in everything she sees.
