Instructor: Chris Jugo
Any skill level, youth, adult
You picked up some fresh new pencils and a new sketchbook, and even treated yourself to that ‘artist-quality’ eraser. Now what? Learn to draw! In this series of classes you will gain the skills and confidence to start your artistic journey. A dot on a page becomes alive when it becomes a line. Then the line becomes a shape that creates elegant forms to tell your story or perspective. We will give you the foundational elements and principals to bring an idea to life. Topics include: drawing what you see; exploratory mark making/sketching techniques; perspective; composition and lighting; tonal values; and colour theory.
About the Instructor: Born and raised in Edmonton, Chris Jugo is a graduate from MacEwan University’s Design Studies program majoring in Illustration and a practicing artist and fulltime graphic designer.
