Instructor: Chris Jugo
Have you ever picked up fresh new art supplies, or dusted off some old ones, cracked open your sketchbook — and all of a sudden your mind is suddenly as blank as the page? We’ve all been there and the Drawing Foundations class will help you develop the skills so you can go from blank page to a harmony of line, shape, and depth. You will learn to build your graphic foundation through observational drawing, sketching, mark making, lighting, and composition. You’ll be exposed to different types of drawing techniques and styles. Learning these core foundational elements will help you to think independently. The class will challenge you , but also build your confidence as an artist through demos, lectures, take home projects and plenty of studio time with one-on-one mentoring. Whether you are absolutely new to drawing, coming back to art from an extra-long hiatus, or just want to freshen up on the foundations, you are invited!
