Sunday, October 21 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Instructor: Jeanine Alexander
Using a modern writing instrument — a double-ended monoline/brush marker — you will first learn a basic cursive script with the monoline tool. Soon you will be making the same strokes with the brush markers and learning how to create beautiful thick and thin strokes with the application of pressure to the brush tool. As the afternoon progresses you will be encouraged to make even more elegant letters as you learn about letter spacing and flourishes within words and short phrases.
Learn your alphabet in a whole new way and begin to enjoy the art and craft of hand lettering. How to use watercolours and artist brushes for lettering will also be demonstrated. Some supplies will be made available for in-class projects and experimentation.
