Saturday & Sunday, January 26 & 27 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day
Instructor: Daphne Cote
Class fee includes model fee.
Experiment with drawing techniques on colored paper to give a lifelike 3-dimensional quality to your portraits. We will be using black and white charcoal and Conté. We will be working on how to make the face feel round and have depth, and creating different textures (such as smooth skin, textured hair, and fabric), and touching on facial anatomy as needed. We will be working from both models and photos.
About the Instructor: Daphne Côté has been instructing art classes since 2004. She was drawn to the study of visual arts, and has been painting, since she was a small kid. She has been showing and selling her work for more than 18 years. The human figure is the main subject of her work, although she also dabbles in landscape and still life. Daphne likes to dig out the beauty, purpose, and essence in everything she sees.
‘Light in Life, both in people and our surroundings, inspire me.’ — Daphne
