Saturday, November 30 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Emma Wales
All skill levels Recommended for Beginners
Design and hand print your own Christmas cards or prints in this holiday-themed class! Emma will walk you through the process from start to finish, with no assumption of existing skill or knowledge. We will begin with a drawing/design workshop to create a fully developed plan, transfer your image to a lino block, and use gouges to carve out the image beforehand printing (printmaking without the use of a press) ten prints using one colour.
All materials needed to design and print ten cards are included in the supply fee.
The last hour of class will be open studio time. You are welcome to bring or purchase additional cards and paper, and continue to use the ink and printmaking tools provided, to pull as many prints as you would like during this time.
