Instructor: Kim Fjordbotten
Want to explore some new surfaces? We offer you a monthly art class on Washi (Japanese) papers. This is like a monthly club to help you ease back into art or take your work in a new direction. On Washi Wednesdays Kim will provide a brief demonstration, a little slide show, or samples for inspiration. Then we spend time drawing or painting on a theme. Participants bring their own drawing or painting media. We will provide 2 or more wonderful papers samples and a surprise bit of material each night. Take-home tip sheets will also be provided. We are so happy to find washi papers! It is our hope you will adopt a few unique papers for your next art projects.
Bring coloured pencils and watercolours. We will pulling textures from found objects to create patterns to paint upon.
