Winter Wonder-Landscape!

Description

THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL, AND WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING REGISTRATIONS.

Sunday, November 24    12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Instructor: Oksana Zhelisko

Winter is one of the most beautiful seasons you can witness in nature and often a great source of inspiration. However, artists often struggle to tackle the snow. Did you know that snow never appears white? It reflects everything that surrounds it. On a sunny day it becomes warm and bright like the sun, while shadows turn purple and blue.

In this one day class Oksana will show the key elements of painting snow. Learn how to paint a winter landscape and to achieve a convincing and harmonious result in terms of colour, brushwork, tones, and composition.

You are welcome to use your own reference pictures or follow Oksana’s step by step demonstration.  The class is open to oil or acrylic painters.

About the Instructor:   Classically trained in Eastern Europe, Oksana began her art career in L'viv, Ukraine. Oksana studied at the Ivan Trush College of Decorative Arts.
