Learning to make your own molds without the worry and without the expense. You can make more unique molds with 1 pound of ComposiMold than with 30 pounds of other mold making materials. Great for many different applications including designing protoypes, casting figurines, duplicating sculptures, molding models, and many other arts and crafts projects.

Melt the Reusable Rubber Mold Making Material, ComposiMold, by heating in the microwave. Microwave times will vary. Start with short heating times until you understand how the microwave will heat the ComposiMold.

Container Size Microwave times (estimates-times will vary)
10 oz 30 second intervals until melted
20 oz 1 to 2 mins. (Stir every 30 secs.)
40 oz 2 to 4 mins. (Stir every 45 secs.)

You can also melt in a double boiler.

To make molds, simply pour the ComposiMold over your master part after applying a Mold Release and Bubble Buster let the ComposiMold solidify by cooling. Remove the master part from the ComposiMold, apply a Mold Release to the mold, and pour or press in your casting material.

With the ComposiMold, many casts can be made with the same mold including plaster, wax, and plastic casts. When you finish making duplicate parts, reuse the ComposiMold to make more molds and cast parts. The unique aspect of ComposiMold is that it can be continuously remelted and reused to make new, unique molds.

Mold Making Tips

Use a mold release (release agent) on the original when making the mold and in the mold when making your casting. Be sure to reach any crevices, but do not overuse the mold release as it may cause bubbles.

When heating for the first time in the microwave, use short durations to ensure that you do not overheat the ComposiMold.

Use Bubble Buster to coat your original part when making your mold. This will reduce bubble formation.
