Bright, talented kids need activities that do more than just entertain them. They want to learn, be engaged, and be creative. We designed our summer art camps to fulfill these needs – but we didn’t forget that kids want to have fun, too! Painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, book binding, sculpture, and more — we have all the supplies and instructors kids need for a great summer! Here is a printable PDF of our classes.
Artelier Studios is bright and spacious. Classes are held on the main floor. However, the building is not wheelchair accessible. There is lots of free parking on the street. The lunchroom has a fridge for lunches. The back lot is fenced to accommodate outdoor activities. 10007 81 Avenue
DROP-OFF TIME for full day classes is between 8:45AM and 9:45AM. Please, NO drop-offs earlier than 8:45 unless arranged.
PICK-UP TIME is between 3:30PM and 4PM. Please be ON TIME. There will be a charge of $1 for every minute after 4:05PM.
Please ensure your child is appropriately dressed for weather. There may be outdoor activities.
Please provide snacks, beverages and (non-microwavable) lunches.

CREATE A CARTOON CHARACTER!

During these 4 afternoons, immerse in past and present artistic influences. We will focus on using techniques from different eras to create a unique and timeless collaboration of your own, a “mash-up”. A great way to find your style, or to enhance the way you already draw, is to dive into and learn from some of the amazing and influential artists that have paved the way. Artists and Eco-Warriors unite! In this weeklong art camp, we will discover all the ways that art and nature converge. Delve into the many ways that artists interact with the world around them – use nature as subject matter, create art with organic materials, upcycle and repurpose found items. Explore the world around you with fresh eyes, roll up your sleeves, and get ready for some serious art making! Register
Jordan Pearson has a BEd and loves making art with all students! She has a Visual Arts Diploma in Painting from Red Deer College & studied at the Florence Acade-my of Art. She is passionate about helping others find their creativity.
Emma Wales holds a BA with Combined Honours in English and Art History from the UofA. Before founding ArtVentures, she was an educator at the AGA, where she worked with thousands of students in both gallery and studio settings.
Jan Fraser specialized in art teaching while with Edmonton Public Schools for over 25 years with students and teachers. She believes that Art is For Everyone…
Kay Cue has taught 2D illustration and animation at Pixel Blue College since 2014. “I believe your art feeds off of three things, your desire to create, your emotions and your references” says Kay.
Lindsay Knox has BFA and has taught art classes at Strathcona County Recreation Parks and Culture, and Gallery 501. She is presently designing and teaching curriculum based visual arts projects for grades 7-9 for Harcourt House Artist Run Centre.
